Bell City Diner
About This Spot
Bell City Diner is a charming crossroads of comfort and creativity tucked away on Pine Street in Bristol. From the moment you step inside, the space balances a nostalgic diner warmth with a modern touch, inviting you to slow down and savor the moment. The hum of friendly chatter blends with the clink of glasses, while the buzz of a well-paced crowd keeps the room lively without ever feeling rushed.
Here, familiar flavors meet unexpected twists, making any visit feel like a small discovery. Whether you’re drawn to a thick, velvety milkshake in inventive varieties like Mint Chocolate Chip or Mint Oreo, or curious about a breakfast that pushes the usual boundaries—think Buffalo Chicken Eggs Benedict or a chorizo-packed omelet—the menu quietly encourages exploration, offering comfort and surprise in equal measures. It's a place where breakfast might transition into brunch with a pineapple mimosa in hand, or a savory meal ends with just the right slice of Oreo cream pie, all served with thoughtful care and just the right portions to satisfy without overwhelming.
The atmosphere carries a subtle rhythm of attentive service and unhurried enjoyment. The staff’s genuine hospitality ensures your meal feels personal, whether it’s your first visit or a familiar stop. With its blend of retro charm and contemporary style, Bell City Diner manages to feel both like a joyful local find and a special occasion spot, perfect for sharing hearty food, inventive drinks, and quiet moments of connection.

While I grew up in Connecticut, I'm less familiar with Bristol and recently found myself in the area on New Year's Day with family wanting breakfast and lunch. This turned out to be a great gamble. It got very busy shortly after we arrived, but even so, both food and service were excellent. It was well staffed and everyone seemed to be working well. There was something for everyone on the menu—even fried dough, which I haven't had in decades since leaving CT—and prices were very reasonable. I'll definitely return.

Not your average diner. Cute mix of retro and modern. Creative food options. Service was really good. Tried a few different food options, and they were all very well prepared and tasted good. Very good comfort food place. Drinks were also good, strong, and creative!

I loved their milkshake, but I wasn’t impressed with the food, and it took a long time to come out. The place is beautiful and the service was great.

This is about to be my favorite diner. It doesn’t even give diner vibes, it’s really beautiful on the inside. Service is amazing. Our waitress was patient and we were able to customize our meal to our exact liking. Will definitely be a returning customer

I’ve been here for both breakfast and later in the day. The food is DELICIOUS. Service is friendly and helpful. Much care seems to go into the presentation of food and drinks, where it looks appealing before even tasting it. Prices are on the high side for a diner, but I can say that proportions are very generous and the tastiness is a step about typical diner food. I haven’t gotten one of their incredible looking desserts yet, because I’ve always been too full. May have to make a dedicated trip to try one of their milkshakes.

This was a cool chic spot. Loved the decor and the food tasted great. We only had breakfast foods. My son loved the waffles. Everything was a great portion and the prices were not bad. I would definitely go there again if we're in the area.

Came here during the Holiday Season, haven’t been here in years and Wow so glad my husband and I made the stop. The decorations the vibe here is so inviting and amazing. Waitedr Scuba, was so great, greeted us right on arrival and seated us. Food was amazing, my husband had the El Chapo Benedict, and myself the Irish Omelet Gluten and Diary Free so so good. Thanks Colonial Diner you have customers who will keep coming back

Our first time dining at Bell City Diner was on Saturday, Oct 20. We went because a lot of people online suggested it for a holiday themed restaurant. We weren’t disappointed. It is decorated beautifully. We ordered Mexican omelette and grilled cheese. Loved the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Can’t wait to bring friends here to try American comfort food, their unique milkshakes, and cheesecakes.
